-----The Essentials----- Name: Juniper Anja Simone High Concept: Frostbitten Introspective Cognivore Trouble Aspect: When the Bottle Blows, it Blows Hard Applicable Tropes: Kuudere, Bookworm, Power Incontincence, A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Read, Glowing Eyes of DoomQuote: “The study of fluid dynamics is fascinating, to be sure. However, you must certainly be aware that no fluid tells as deep, dynamic, and nuanced a story as a bloodstain. That is, if one is able to hear, as I am, what that marvellously crimson and inimitably vital fluid has to say.” Theme: “Possession” by Sarah McLachlan -----Physical Description----- Age / Year: I am, to the best of my knowledge, given that the date of my birth is not a known fact, seventeen years of age, and a first-year senior. Hair / Eyes / Skintone: I do not understand the necessity of explaining my appearance in such detail, however, as it is only courteous to answer questions that have been asked (assuming, of course, that the aforementioned questions are not entirely too personal to be answered), I have straight, raven hair to the small of my back, and blue eyes. I have been told that they are, in fact, “piercing blue” and can “bore directly into a soul”, but I've never noticed such a marked intensity in what time I've spent studying my features. I am, I suppose, rather pale, given my proclivity for remaining indoors, or at least safe in the shade. Cultural Distinction: That is an exceptional question. Cers has no memory of where he found me, and therefore, I can not say, with any accuracy, where I am from. Build: I am not giving you my measurements. I don't care how “important” you think it is, this question crosses the line of impropriety and I'll thank you to let it go at that. (((5'6”, 130lbs, and given that she might kill me if I actually list her measurements after her complaints about the question in the first place, we'll just say she's... “Appropriately well-formed”. ~Nef))Distinguishing Characteristics: My uniform fits, and I wear it. In this place, one needs do little else to stand out. -----Capabilities----- Magic / Magic Rating: I am one of the “lucky” few “graced” with psionic abilities. I find them frequently appalling, and therefore tend to do all I am able to ignore the very existence of my powers. Regardless, I suppose I shall explain my condition; I am, I have been told, an immensely powerful telepath. I, personally, have no measure for comparison. All that I am certain of is that for the first several months during which my abilities manifested I was unable to focus on anything, as it seemed rather as though I were listening in on the thoughts of every sentient being in and around the academy. Attempts at formal training have proven mostly useless, as the only thing I have been able to learn is to block out the ever-present mental chattering of my peers. The incessant noise would doubtlessly have driven me mad otherwise. I am also, from time to time, subject to visions, though whether they be of the future, past, or present is unclear. My telekinetic ability is almost non-existent, though times of extreme stress have, in the past, lead to uncontrolled telekinetic episodes. TelepathyMagnitude: 10 Control: 3 ClairvoyanceMagnitude: 5 Control: 1 TelekinesisMagnitude: 2 Control: 1 (Telepathy and Telekinesis trade scores during a Power Meltdown.) Skills / Talents: I have learned, through my studies, how to map the story of a bloodstain, to perform basic surgery if the need arises, and to discover the cause and time of a death with a cursory examination. I could, of course, conduct a full autopsy if there were not enough clues to be found on the body, but I have found that people are...frequently disturbed when you begin digging about in the abdomen of a cadaver. Equipment: A shoulder bag, in which I carry required class texts and recreational reading. Why, should I have need for something more? I don't feel that Cers should be considered equipment, though on occasion he has been my preferred weapon. -----Characterization----- Personality: I have heard (at this point, you know full well how) that many people consider me cold, detached, aloof, clinical, blunt, weird, downright mean and rather creepy. I should hope that those who know me by more than my reputation would be aware that I am all of those things, as well as being engaging, and caring (to the people who deserve it) when the need arises. Flaws / Defects: Given that the things most people say (or think) about me behind my back are, in fact, flaws, I will not repeat myself. Social Classification: Scholar Goals / Aspirations: I have, for as long as I can remember, been fascinated with death and blood. It seems to me, that we are meant to be perfect, as we are handmade of the Mothers, and therefore, death is an unnecessary state of being. Which, of course, is why I have chosen to major in biology and anatomy. When I come to understand the true nature and causes of death, I will be able to circumvent it. -----History----- Family: Cers is, technically, my father, as he has guided my social and scholastic development in much the same way that Andrius Graiteale would have done had Cers not been present. I am, otherwise, an orphan. Background: I remember most of my life, though those memories are not my own. I remember, through Cers' eyes, the day a man who seemed made of shadow charged him to care for me. I was an infant at the time. Cers was...not the most competent caretaker. However, he is a skilled problem solver, so when he could not stop my crying...he brought me to the Academy. This is where the memories become mine. The first thing I can remember is waking from a nightmare when I was five. The shadow-man from Cers' memories of my infanthood was pushing me forcefully down a path in an ancient forest. The forest was dark...almost black...and all the trees were talking at once. All of them, chattering incessantly about absolutely nothing. The farther he pushed me, the louder they got, until I couldn't stand the noise. That dream has recurred every other month, until my magic manifested, and now I live with that noise on a daily basis. If you wish for more specific examples of my history, then I will offer the year-and-a-half that I spent in the company of Reno Voltaire, before his fall from grace. We were young, and impetuous, and he was a great deal of fun. Things did not work out as we hoped, and we went our separate ways. He was, however, kind enough to introduce me to Malcolm Lowe, who now means a great deal to me as a friend...and possibly more, though I do not wish to ruminate too long upon the future, as it will invariably lead to a mind-shattering vision. Present State of Events: As of now, I spend my time mostly alone, though from time to time with Adelle Xephani, as we have several classes together. Malcolm has taken to visiting me as I study, and occasionally, Lukas Duprei and Reno will be capable of maintaining a facade of social propriety long enough to have a discussion.

She don't like the way I act, or some shit. Never really explained why we broke up in the first place.” What are your feelings toward him/her?“I ain't bitter or nothin', just...we don't get along as well, y'know? So...I like 'er, but we don't hang out.” Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?“I guess. I mean, I was pretty sure I loved 'er, once. She's a decent fuckin' person, anyway.” How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private?“No different than anybody else. I don't care she can get in my head, y'know? I'll just let m'mind wander an' she'll let me be when the lesbians show up. Since we ain't often alone t'gether anymore, I guess things ain't different in private.” How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?“Does 'constantly' count?” Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?“Fuck no. I stay outta her way, she stays outta mine.” Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?“Juni, Simone, Berry, Gin Blossom, Ice Queen, an' accourse the usual chick-names; sugartits, babes, sweetheart, sexy, an' so on.” What is your best memory of him/her?“...Whaddaya think it is, moron? Too much teeth.” What is his/her greatest strength as a person?“Gin Blossom might just be the nicest person I've ever met. Seriously. Get past that whole “Ice Queen” thing, an' she's a sweetheart. I ain't sayin' the sweetheart thing's her greatest strength. It's the Ice Queen thing. She gets really good friends that way. Losers ain't willin' t'get t'know 'er.” What is his/her greatest weakness? “Gotta be the inability t'control 'er mindy-powers. See, she hears shit people're thinkin' an' makes up 'er mind about 'em without really givin' 'em a chance.”

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you? Cedric Delane, haven't you been paying attention? How long have you known this person? Hmm well lets see. I've known Juniper for a while now. Well, I met her only about a year ago, however I've known her since I've been here. She has sort of a bad reputation. How well would you say that you know him/her? Not too well. However she keeps up a front. It's hard to figure anything out about her. But if what I hear about her is correct, then she knows a lot about me. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her? Hardly ever, I've met her on one or two occasions, those have been when I was around Reno. Other than that we have never interacted. At least not directly. What are your feelings toward him/her? I've always thought that she was very pretty, although I've never been particularly attracted to her. Admittedly she comes off as being rather aloof. Yet, I suspect there's more to her. I don't know though, I have a tendency to only see the best in people. She is someone who...is fascinating. I don't know, something about her makes me want to know more about her. But I don't know if I'd approach her. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not? Well I don't know enough about her to respect her a whole lot. I know that she must cope with being able to hear everyone's thoughts and concerns. That must be difficult, so I'd say anyone who can deal with that is a respectable person. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private? I have never spent any time with her where it has just been me and her. If we did, then only if she treated me in a bad way. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her? Well, she isn't very sociable, something I like, but whatever, not everyone is like that. Other than that, I don't know her opinions on things. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly? No not really, I wouldn't even know how to compete with her mind powers. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her? No, I think her name is good enough. Besides what would I call her? Well, I've heard Reno call her Berry, that made me laugh. What is your best memory of him/her? Ok, this is going to sound sort of weird. I was walking around the school once, just sort of letting my mind wander. In fact, I was imagining like, the school was a castle or something, and like, I was this knight and of course there was, oh wait, right the story sorry. Anyway, as I turned a corner I saw her there, kneeling on the ground. I quickly stepped back behind a corner, and peeked around it. She was like, examining some blood or something on ground, I wasn't sure. I later found out that there had just been a fight there. So I watched her go about whatever it was she was doing. It was sort of cool, like looking at her examine everything. To this day I don't know if she knew I was there or not. But if she did, she never showed any sign of it. I know that doesn't sound like much of a memory, but for some reason it sticks out in my mind. What is your worst memory of him/her? Well, this is sort of hard to think of. Well, it was when she and Reno had just broken up. I was going to see Reno, and as I approached where he was, I saw her walking towards me. She looked, uncharacteristically angry and as she passed me I could like...feel the anger. It came from in waves almost and I swear for an instant I felt just as emotional as she did. I suspect it was because of her telepathic abilities, but man, it was intense. I ended up just turning and going another direction. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? Hmm, let me think. Well she seems to be quite intelligent. I also think she has a good emotional shield. What is his/her greatest weakness? At the same time, I think that shield she puts up kind of blocks her from other people. I think if she let her walls down more people would like her. But I don't think she wants to. I know it's hard for some people to do that.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you? Um... I'm Jack. How long have you known this person? Um... a few years. How well would you say that you know him/her? Um... I don't really know her at all. She doesn't really talk much so... I can't really say much on assumption alone. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her? Not much, I guess. She's got a lot of other things she usually focuses on, and I have my studies. What are your feelings toward him/her? Um... I'm not really sure. Juniper can be... I mean, she's really, well... you know... She scares me. I saw her get all cold and dangerous once. Whenever she glares at me, I remember that and... What? She's scary! Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not? I should think so! Her powers are extraordinary. Um... She's the most powerful telepath I've ever heard of, even in the history books. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private? Um... well I used to ask her a lot of questions, but... ever since I saw her lose control, I try not to be alone with Juniper. When I talk to her, I just don't look her in the eyes. She doesn't seem like she minds that, and it makes me feel a lot safer. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her? I used to every now and then, but... um... Not ever again. I don't always agree with what Juniper says, but I'm not interested in arguing with her. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly? Um... I don't think so. I can't imitate her powers, since they aren't elemental, and I'm sure she can't do what I do, so there's really little to compete over. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her? Um... Her name is Juniper. I'll just call her that unless she tells me to call her something else. What is your best memory of him/her? Um... well, we were all in Dulathiene once, and I was trying to help Juniper. We were attacked by someone... Um... he was trying to take Juniper I think. I tried to burn him with some fire magic, but it didn't catch. I thought we would all be taken away, but Juniper... Why did I pick this memory? This is a terrible memory. Nevermind. What is your worst memory of him/her? The memory I was about to give earlier. When Juniper went crazy. She unleashed some telekinetic attack on everyone. Even I was floating in the air, and she caused Malcolm to start bleeding a lot... It was terrifying. She wasn't even aware of what she was doing. Such a loss of control... I don't want to see that ever again. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? Juniper's strength is pretty obvious. She's um... titanic. Her power just consumes everything. If she learned to control her powers, she'd be the best telepath ever to live. What is his/her greatest weakness? Um... I guess it'd be her lack of control. She's dangerous to everyone. She could hurt someone easily when she loses control... Um... But I guess her distant behavior is worth mentioning, too.

Post by Adelle Xephani on Jul 24, 2011 20:21:53 GMT -5
-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Adelle Xephani. How long have you known this person?Juni and I were in an anatomy class together my first year at the academy. We got along decently well, and by the time we found out we were sharing another class next year we'd started talking to each other on a fairly regular basis. How well would you say that you know him/her?We're close friends. I can't say Juni tells me everything, but she certainly confides in me more than most, and I'm comfortable enough to do the same with her. I can safely say that she's the only person I've ever actually felt comfortable talking about boys with. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?We talk before or after classes almost every day, we do a lot of studying together, and every once in awhile I decide we need to have a girls' night in. What are your feelings toward him/her?Juni's the best friend I've ever had that wasn't a guy. ...Come to think of it, she's one of the only friends I've had that wasn't a guy. I don't usually get along with other girls because of my tomboyish nature, but Juni, despite being quite feminine, is quite comfortable climbing trees and is completely unbothered by the things most girls usually panic in the presence of--bugs, spiders, blood. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?I have a great deal of respect for her. She's a strong-willed individual with a solid concept of self. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private? We're always friendly toward each other, but we tend to relax the most when we're alone, because then we can just talk. When we're in class together, we like to tag-team our responses and see how quickly we can gross out the more squeamish students. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?We disagree quite often, but it's usually good-natured, and even when it isn't things rarely devolves into an outright argument. Juni's too good at cutting to the core of the problem. I blame the telepathy. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly? We compete scholastically, but that only encourages us to better ourselves, and we each tend to inadvertently give the other a leg up in the competition due to our habit of studying together... so I suppose, really, it's us competing against the rest of the class. Outside of that, no. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?I tend to call her Juni more than Juniper. I'm not sure if I picked it up from Reno or thought it up on my own. I certainly didn't pick it up from Cers.... What is your best memory of him/her?A couple of months ago we were spending the evening together, and I ended up mentioning teddy bears for some reason. Juni was abnormally confused; apparently, she'd never heard of one before. I spent the next ten minutes explaining the concept of teddy bears, which led into questions about stuffed toys, dolls, and comfort items in general. She'd never had any! Finally, I dug my old teddy bear out of the bottom drawer of my dresser and shoved it into her arms so she could hug it properly. She did so, then frowned, and said, "...I do not understand." I nearly died trying to keep from laughing. After much deliberation, we came to the conclusion that she'd never needed comfort items because she'd always had Cers to look out for her, at which point I said that Cers was her teddy bear. She accepted the analogy, albeit reluctantly, and I joked about getting Cers a teddy bear costume if we ever found out his birthday. What is your worst memory of him/her?That... happened later the same night, actually. She ended up staying the night. After we went to bed, I ended up having a dream. ...Except it wasn't my dream, it was hers, and it was far more into the realm of nightmare. I was strapped to a wooden table. I couldn't move anything but my head. The air in the room--and it was a large room--was thick with the stench of blood and the sound of screams. There were others, at least twenty, all of them bound like me. Some were missing limbs. The man on my right was freshly dead. He had a massive, gaping wound in his chest; someone had cut out his internal organs with surgical precision. After what seemed like hours a woman walked down the aisles. She looked like Juni, except she was older, and there was something... darker in her gaze. She ran a hand across my cheek and said, "Aren't you a pretty one? Such lovely, perfect eyes..." Then she took them from me. I woke up screaming and clutching at my eyes--I'm lucky I didn't hurt myself. That's the only time I can ever remember actually feeling pain in a dream, and it lingered a few moments after I woke up. Juni woke up, as well, but she wasn't screaming. She was just... pale. Incredibly, terribly pale. She apologized profusely, and left in a hurry. I don't blame her for what happened--how is someone supposed to control their dreams?--but it was definitely not an experience I want to repeat. Ever. What is his/her greatest strength as a person?Juni is one of the most honest people I've ever met, and that's a trait I've always prized highly. What is his/her greatest weakness? I didn't think it was possible for anyone to be more critical of others than me. Juni seems to enjoy proving me wrong.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Cers. How long have you known this person?...I have cared for Juniper since she was an infant. How well would you say that you know him/her?...Quite. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?...On a daily basis. What are your feelings toward him/her?I care for her very deeply. ...In truth, I think of her as my daughter, despite the fact that we are not related by blood. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?I respect her drive to learn... although her fascination with death disturbs me. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private?...I ensure that she is safe and well provided for. I comfort her when she is distressed. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?...It is rare that we are not of an accord. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?...I do not understand the pertinence of this question. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?...Her name is Juniper. That has always been sufficient. What is your best memory of him/her?...The first time she smiled at me. What is your worst memory of him/her?When Juniper was first placed in my care, she was terrified of me. She cried whenever I approached her, let alone held her, for days. By the time I arrived at the academy, I was at my wits' end. I acquired an audience with Headmaster Graiteale, held Juniper out at arms' length, and said, "...Fix it." ...I am told that my child-rearing skills have come a long way since then. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? She is intelligent, strong-willed, and adaptable. What is his/her greatest weakness?...Loss of her temper leads to a loss of control over her abilities. That in turn can lead to... severe unpleasantries.

We have a few classes together, and we study together a lot. I see her more often, though, when René isn't around.” What are your feelings toward him/her?“Oh, I love her. She's like a sister to me.” Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?“I do, because she's very strong, given that she hears so much that no one should. Do you act differently in public than in private?“I treat her like she's my best friend. Because she is. We're no different in private, either.” How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?“Oh, Juni and I don't argue, but we do disagree sometimes. Usually when she gets mad at René. ...Of course, I'm usually mad at him, too, when that happens.” Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?“No. I mean, we both sing, so we could compete in that, but we don't.” Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?“No, just Juni.” What is your best memory of him/her?“Oh, my...we were sitting in her tree, once, and we both started to hum, and Cers started to tap his finger on his leg, and Lukas added some little explosions, and René started making the water splash in time, and Sophomore Xephani joined in with some of her tools from Anatomy class, and then Junior Delane wandered up, and he started to whistle...and it was just a beautiful impromptu band moment.” What is your worst memory of him/her?“...Has anyone told you about the time she and René broke up?” What is his/her greatest strength as a person?“Oh, my...well, she's very good at reading people...but I guess that's her magic, more than her, so I suppose I'll have to say it's the real her. Not a part of her, but the real her. The one nobody ever sees. What is his/her greatest weakness?“I know this won't make sense...but, trust me... She just...she tries too hard. Like René. Her life seems to be all about her reputation.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Malcolm Lowe. How long have you known this person?Reno introduced me to 'er about three years ago. How well would you say that you know him/her?Depends on the day, an' her mood, an' a host of other things I can't even begin to fuckin' piece together in my head. Every time I think I've got 'er figured out she pulls a fast one on me. Only person I've ever known could do that to me on a regular basis. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?I hang out with 'er pretty often. I mean, not every day or anythin', but usually at least once or twice a week. It's usually a spur-of-the-moment thing, on my end, although I haveta wonder if she ain't decided to tug on my thoughts a little once or twice. What are your feelings toward him/her?I ain't gonna lie, I got a thing for 'er. I don't broadcast it, leastways not on purpose, but I ain't exactly very good at hidin' that kinda shit an' she can read my mind anyway, so there ain't no way she don't know. Outside of that, I think she's fuckin' scary, but in pretty much the hottest way you c'n imagine. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?Hell, yeah. She's pretty much my ideal woman. ...Wow, that sounds kinda lame when I actually say it out loud. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private?I always try to treat her right; it's just my mouth gets ahead of me sometimes when I'm hangin' out with the guys. Especially Reno or Ezzie. An' don't even get me started on what happens when both of 'em are hangin' out with me when me an' Juni end up talkin'. We get along better when it's just us than when there's others around, I think. 'Course, even then I spend half the conversation puttin' my foot in my mouth an' the other half tryin' to figure out what I did to get it wedged in there in the first fuckin' place. ...I keep meanin' to tell 'er how I feel, 'cause just 'cause she knows don't mean I shouldn't say it, but every time I start to get there somethin' happens to throw off my calm. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?Pretty sure that question should run more along the lines of 'How often does she disagree with or argue with me?' I get the feeling she takes issue with me a lot more'n I take issue with her. Every now an' again she decides she wants to get a rise outta me, an' starts showin' off her homework from anatomy class. I been fightin' long enough it takes a fair bit ta get my stomach churnin', but lemme tell you, some'a the shit they got in those books she reads is fuckin' disturbin'. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly? We ain't really got a reason ta compete in anythin'. I mean, she's like ten times better in school than I am an' ain't no amount of studyin' on my part's gonna change that. Far as I know, she ain't really into fightin' or sculptin' or carvin' or any'a that shit. ...An' besides, even if we did figure out somethin' to compete at I wouldn't really care who won, so it wouldn't be much of a competition. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?I call 'er Juniper, mostly, 'cause she don't like nicknames too particular much for some reason. I call 'er Juni or Junebug, sometimes, though. Juni's just shorthand, an' I'm pretty sure I picked that up from Reno. Junebug, though, that's mine. Ain't called 'er by that more'n once or twice out loud, an' only when we were alone, but it's kinda fun, y'know? I'd like the chance to use it more often someday. What is your best memory of him/her?'Bout six months back, we were sittin' under that tree she an' Cers always hang out around. I don't remember what we were talkin' about, but she'd just had one'a her visions an' damn near fell off her branch, which is why we were under the tree 'stead of up in it. Anyways, she was still feelin' kinda out of it, an' she leaned her head on my shoulder an' we talked a little more an' then she went quiet. I'm pretty sure she was thinkin' at first, but that vision had worn 'er out, an' it wasn't too long before she just kinda... dozed off, y'know? So I'm just sittin' there, an' just when I finally think about movin' away she kinda snuggles closer, lookin' five different kinds of cute, an' ends up with her head restin' on my chest. I ended up sittin' there 'til she woke up. Almost two fuckin' hours, man. But, y'know, they were some'a the best hours'a my life. You gotta take time to enjoy the simple things. What is your worst memory of him/her?...Okay, see, last year we had this field trip to Dulathiene, right? Me an' Jack an' Juni were hangin' out, an' some psycho in a bone-white robe shows up. Starts makin' a scene, goin' on about how Juni's one'a the most gifted people he's ever met, an' how she'd be just the perfect addition to 'The Allmind', whatever the fuck that is. Point is, Juni told the asshole to back off, he didn't, an' I took a swing. I swear, every nerve in my body screamed at the same fuckin' time. I'd never been hurt like that before, man. I didn't hit the guy. Didn't even come close. I was on the ground before I knew what hit me--well, really, what hadn't. Guy hadn't so much as lifted a finger, an' I felt like fuckin' grothbait. I was pretty out of it for a few seconds. Best as I can piece it together, he grabbed Juni, Jack tried ta stop 'im, an' he started to go after Jack. 'Bout the time I started seein' somethin' other'n pain, Juni... just... froze. Her eyes started glowin' this weird purple color, an' I swear she started floatin'. Almost everything else fuckin' did. She slammed that crazy hooded bastard into a wall without fuckin' touchin' 'im, probably smashed his entire ribcage on impact he hit so hard. She wasn't done, though. She started stalkin' toward 'im. I've seen her angry, sure, but that's the only time I ever actually saw murder in her eyes. ...I didn't care how much of a fuckin' douchebag this guy was, I couldn't let her go through with somethin' like that. I pulled myself to my feet an' staggered toward 'er. Got in the way, put my hands on her shoulders. Said 'er name, but she didn't hear. She just looked at me, an' I'll tell you what, the lights were on but Juni wasn't fuckin' home. I could feel 'er in my head, how angry she was, an' it wasn't even that it hurt so much as it was heavy. I could feel somethin' bearin' down on my skull like a vice. Last thing I remember thinkin' before I passed out was that I sure as hell hadn't expected that to be the way I'd die. ...Obviously, I didn't, but lemme tell ya, it sure fuckin' felt like I was goin' to at the time. I don't even remember most'a that trip to the infirmary. My body was fucked an' my brain was scrambled. Took almost two weeks for me to really get things straight, an' I still have fuckin' nightmares about it sometimes. It ain't changed the way I feel about her, but I'll sure as hell think about it before I pull anythin' like that again. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? She don't take shit from no one. What is his/her greatest weakness?Man, I don't wanna judge 'er. I mean, nobody's perfect. ...But I sure as hell hope she gets that crazy-purple-glow shit under control. She ain't her when she gets like that, an' it's fuckin' disturbin'.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Jace Longwin How long have you known this person? The entire time I've been here, but I never really talked to her until a couple of years ago. How well would you say that you know him/her?Not as well as I'd like. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?I interact with her (if that's what you call me struggling to talk to her) every couple of days. I don't actually spend time with her outside of our one-sided conversations though. What are your feelings toward him/her?I like her. I respect her quietness, but not as much as I respect her brains. Also, I seem to notice that a lot of guys seem to like her, even though she's kinda cold and distant to most people. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?I suppose I just answered that question. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private?I treat her nicely. There is no private interaction though. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?Never. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?Nope. We're on the opposite spectrum of talents I'd suppose. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?I just call her Juni, and she seems to let me. What is your best memory of him/her?None really seem to stand out. What is your worst memory of him/her?Looking at her looking at Malcolm when she talks to me, it kinda makes me feel like she doesn't even care about talking to me, just messing with him. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? Her incredible intelligence. What is his/her greatest weakness? She seems to be too distant to most people.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Isabella Tiraboschi How long have you known this person? Most of my time here. How well would you say that you know him/her?I know she seems to have a problem with me even if she doesn't actually interact with me, but I've seen the looks. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?I haven't but I have been around the area she is in. What are your feelings toward him/her?I don't know what her problem is but I think she should step up and go for Malcolm since he's the only one who's actively trying to get to know her. I feel sorry that her power is a problem for her though. Some gifts are double-edged swords. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not?No, but that's because she hates me for no reason. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private?I try to ruffle her feathers when it comes to Malcolm. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?We don't talk, yet. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?I'm sure with her powers she knows I don't actually want Malcolm but I can tell it bothers her. It's a girl thing. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?The Tree Dweller. What is your best memory of him/her?Seeing her in the girls' shower. What is your worst memory of him/her?The fact that she hates me for no reason. What is his/her greatest strength as a person?I'm not sure what it takes to deal with her power but she's got a lot of it. What is his/her greatest weakness? She's not willing to try to talk to people. If the rumors are true, then she already knows people's thoughts, but that doesn't mean you can't still get to know somebody by talking.

-----Getting Involved----- Who are you?Ubhal Ryuk. How long have you known this person? She's been around forever, an' she used to play with Blue a lot, so I've known her forever too. Plus, she belongs to Grampa. ...Or Grampa belongs to her. It's hard to tell sometimes. How well would you say that you know him/her?She's girly, but she's not as icky as most girls 'cause she isn't scared of blood an' stuff. How often do you interact with or spend time with him/her?I like to climb trees. She likes to sit in the trees I like to climb. Sometimes she reads to me. Sometimes I tell her about the pranks I've pulled. She doesn't ever help with them, but she gives me ideas sometimes. What are your feelings toward him/her?She's weird. But not the usual girl-weird. This is a different kind of weird. I haven't figured out what kind yet. Do you respect him/her? Why, or why not? She's okay. I don't get her, but she's okay. How do you treat him/her? Do you act differently in public than in private? She's real matter-of-fact, so I'm real matter-of-fact. It makes things easy. How often do you disagree with or argue with him/her?She calls me cute sometimes, but I think she just does it to rile me up. She doesn't get all cheek-pinchy an' glompy like that Isabella girl. I still get mad, though. Do the two of you ever compete with each other, directly or indirectly?Sometimes we try an' see who can gross each other out more. It's a fun game, but it's hard to win against her 'cause she sees so much with her not-eyes. Do you have any nicknames, pet names, or insults you frequently use to refer to him/her?Booklady. She's always got a book. ...I don't know why she likes books so much. Books are boring unless they're the story kind. What is your best memory of him/her?She showed me how to do an aww-top-sy once. IT WAS AWESOME. What is your worst memory of him/her?She says she can't see Dad or me with her not-eyes, an' she tried to look at me once. It made my brain itch somethin' fierce, so I ran away 'cause Dad says the itchin' is bad. She doesn't do that anymore. What is his/her greatest strength as a person? She's got a really strong stomach. What is his/her greatest weakness? She uses her not-eyes too much. I don't think she really knows how to see.
